David Egglishaw is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and has completed the Institute of Chartered Secretaries' Accredited Directors education program. David has over 25 years of experience acting as a director of investment vehicles in the Cayman Islands and has spoken at conferences and presented seminars on corporate governance.
David is a Cayman Islands resident and director and co-founder of Summit. He currently serves as director on a variety of funds, including private equity, venture capital, real estate and hedge funds in addition to acting as an investment committee member of private equity funds.
Prior to joining Summit, David was the managing director of Walkers SPV Limited from 2001 to 2008. Whilst at Walkers SPV Limited, he was responsible for the establishment of the Director Services business and served as a director on a variety of investment funds. In addition, he has wide-ranging experience acting as a director of structured finance transactions.
He was previously with Deutsche Bank in the Cayman Islands from 1994 to 2001, where he gained a broad range of investment funds and capital markets experience. During his time at Deutsche Bank, he headed the Investment Funds Administration and the Corporate Services departments, and led groups that provided director services, valuation and paying agency services.
David is formerly the Treasurer of the Cayman Islands Directors Association, a former Secretary of the Cayman Islands Mutual Fund Administrators Association and is registered with the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority as a director under the Directors Registration and Licensing Act.
